Gary
Fickes, is a native of
Houston, Texas. Gary and his family have
lived in the Southlake-Grapevine area since 1979. Gary graduated with a
Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University in 1972.
Gary was formally president of Identitec, Inc., an architectural
graphics firm which he sold to a private investor group in 1997. Gary
is a founding partner in Fickes Dorety Development and is
involved in all phases of the operation with special interest in
construction, financing and leasing. Gary’s community involvement
includes serving as Mayor of Southlake (1989-1996), Harris Methodist
HEB Hospital-Chairman of Board of Trustees, Harris Methodist Health
System-Board of Trustees, Metroport Cities Transportation
Committee-Chairman, Appointment by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the
newly formed Economic Development Stakeholders Committee, Peoples Bank
Colleyville-Founder and Vice-Chairman of the Board, Tarrant Regional
Transportation Coalition-Executive Committee, Grapevine Rotary
Club-International Director and Southlake Chamber of Commerce-Board
Member and past Chairman of the Board. Update: In
November 2006, Gary was elected Tarrant County Commissioner for
Precinct 3. Gary looks forward to serving all the citizens of
Tarrant County in the years to come.
